Black Tulips...Golden Beetroot...Purple Tomatoes...
Know about all of those, but Pink Bananas?
This was the subject of some mirth on SK's programme this morning. Kew Gardens has preserved some seeds of the elusive Indian variant, and if you want to know what they look like
Now I know why it costs so much to get into Kew these days

While we were in Tanzania last year we kept seeing these wonderful looking red bananas. After much badgering over about three days from our small group, our guide relented and stopped at a roadside stall and bought us a bunch to share between us- and guess what......?
Under the pretty red skin they looked and tasted exactly like a normal 'nana! _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Maybe the red Bananas are red because they are embarrassed after finding out what they look like. |
