In search of some jolly news to brighten the day I thought I'd look at the Entertainment section of the BBC pages...

Celebrity Big Brother "hell house"
Snow Patrol most-played song of the decade
Mel Gibson upsetting Mexicans
James Blunt the biggest selling album of the decade
Van Morrison a father again at 64
Joe McElderry's dirge at No 1
EastEnders the most watched tv at Christmas (not by me, it wasn't)

and on top of all that ITV are going to do a remake of A Bouquet of Barbed Wire

Rolling Eyes

(It will change but...) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/default.stm

Agree with most of the above but think that Joe's success is good news for the region.

I hope ITV reprise the mistake in Bouquet Of Barbed Wire where a Muppets trailer soundtracked the aftermath of a punch-up between Gavin and Frank Finlay's character!

When the proper sound came back on, Finlay said 'You did that for revenge!'

I saw this go out on Yorkshire TV and then again on an early 'It'll Be Alright On The Night'!
