Who do you think are going to be the main cover presenters for Chris Evans and Simon Mayo going forward when they are away on holidays etc.

In my opinion Johnnie Walker will continue to cover for the Breakfast Show and Richard Allinson will cover for Drivetime.

Think it has been report that Johnnie will not cover for Evans, why should he and its likely he will pull in more listeners than evans will. For me he should be moved to Drivetime cover and also Ken Bruce cover or Steve Wright cover. As for breakfast cover, not really bothered. Besides, isnt Evans currently taking charge at Bolton Wanderers?!?

I would think it almost certain that JW will not be covering either slot, more's the pity. The BBC will not want to draw any direct comparisons between the current slot holders and former ones. I can't think of anyone who could cover for the morning show, other than RA, or maybe a switch round and put Alex Lester on??

Alex Lester would be perfect for the mornings.... maybe Craig Charles could do Drivetime, he's pretty laid-back.

Just a 'heads-up' as to when Evans is off will suffice for me, so I can listen on my days off.

I was going to say "I'll do that for you LEE" but then I realised... I won't be listening, so I won't know when he's not on.... Crying or Very sad But maybe I'll be able to instinctively divine such occasions Wink

Possibilty Patrick Kietly, Zoe Ball or Johnnie will continue to cover breakfast? I think Richard Allinson or Zoe Ball may cover drivetime?

Maybe because of their evening show Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie don't seem to be doing any cover work these days which I think is a pity. I still think, that after JW, Stuart was the best Drivetime presenter.

It's cost cutting saving money putting these on two up in hotels for a week as the production teams are based in London. Although I wonder why Mark or Stuart couldn't do the shows from Manchester?

I agree - if given a chance, I think Stuart would be excellent making Drivetime his own - Saying that, the evening show is now my favourite show on Radio 2, so I'd be sad to see that go.
