I like the current Chris Evans feature about going to sleep at bad times or in inappropriate places eg as a pillion passenger on a motor bike.

My own entry for consideration is going to sleep whilst chatting up a young lady in the Mr George nightclub in Coventry City Centre circa 1973.

A mate who was with me took up where I left off and eventually married her!

How about you?

Ian.

I can't think of anywhere I've fallen asleep unintentionally.. apart from a "Yes" concert back in the 70s Laughing well, I wanted to see the support band - "The Groundhogs"

There's many a time when I wish I could have fallen asleep on an airliner!

I admit to "nodding off" sometimes in the afternoon whilst I was working on a drawing board.. the angle of the board/head in hands is just right for a quick five minutes! Laughing
This was usually after a couple of pints at lunchtime I hasten to add...

I kept nodding off on Friday night at the folk music gig we went to as part of the Straw Bear festival at Whittlesey. I'd only had one pint of beer, but the heat of the room and the gentle acoustic songs of the support act were just too soporific - my wife had to keep prodding me.

In the days when bank managers were proper bank managers it was not unkown for one or two of them to have a bit of a zzzz at their desk after a visit to the pub of a Friday lunchtime. If only digital cameras had been around then. Would be a hanging offence now, of course.

Hmmm I fell asleep once driving on the M6 Shocked

It was a very foggy night, about 1.00am, I was absolutely knackered, and didn't like it in the middle or outside lane, so I decided, along with a few other drivers, the last 20 miles would be at a gentle speed of 20mph on the inside lane.

God knows how long I travelled while asleep but a kindly truck driver behind me tooted, clearly knew I wasn't conscious as I was down to 10mph!!

I fell asleep talking to my mother on the phone one night. I was really tired after work and always ring her before we go to bed, to make sure that she is okay. I woke up when I heard her asking me if I was all right, as I wasn't joining in with her conversation!

One year I had a truly epic flight over to Canada, dogged by just about every delay in the book, starting with the flight missing it's take-off slot at Gatwick and having to wait for the next available slot. To cut a long story short, we eventually made it to Toronto and then onto my relations house and a well earned beer or two! Later that evening, I was taken to a cinema where the, then, brand new release of Jurassic Park was showing. The combination of tiredness after that epic journey over, the beers and a nice dark cinema meant one thing. Yes I fell asleep after a few minutes, I surfaced once about half way through, then I was away with the fairies again, when I finally awoke, the end credits were rolling! Laughing
