I'm searching for a record from a few years back. I don't know the artist (but he sounded a bit like Clifford T Ward) and it was about a girl (I think she was called Jessie) who kept walking out of his life and then suddenly when he was all settled she'd walk back into his life. One verse was about her ringing him up and asking him to get the cat (Moses) and pack everything up to go and live in a cottage by the sea. And one line was "Jessie why do you always do these things to me".

'Nuff clues? Rolling Eyes

That's the one SFF. Thanks very much. I don't recall the name at all, but I really liked the song. I'll be downloading that for future use.

Santafe, you're thinking about Gene Cotton's 'Me & The Elephant', with the immortal misheard lyric 'Just to kill an owl or two...'!
