Not good enough to make me break from my newfound "Listen Again" routine, I'm afraid. _________________ Minx

They do say that the first rule of choosing a stand-in is to make sure that they aren’t as good as you. Eureka! That’s why Richard Allinson gets so many stand-in gigs!! He's like a rash. |

At least we are in a safe pair of hands when Richard is covering shows. Throwing a celebrity in, if Shennan has plans to do this would be bad move for a new breakfast show. At least Richard will be able to keep the listeners. |

If there are any listeners left to keep...by the sound of the ubiquitous trailers, why would anyone assault their ears with that? _________________ MiS |

So will he have to participate in the "Hello Goodbye" bit? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I'll be happy to listen to Richard Allinson, but I don't think I can stand the childish format that Breakfast has become. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

I was just wondering if they would follow the same format with Richard presenting.
When Johnnie sat in for Terry he did his own thing so there is hope!

I suppose it'll be a bit like when people deputised for the whinger on Drivetime. It'll be a case of making the best of a bad format. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Chris confirmed that it's Richard Allinson & his team. I wonder who Richard team are? Bobbi Proyer for traffic? Who's doing Sport & who's reading the news? |

Johnny Saunders said that he was still working next week, so I'm guessing that the sports reports will still be in the programme. Since Lynn covers three shows, I don't see why she should sync her holidays with Chris Evans.
As for Moira... is she fluffing her reading of news stories more than she did on the telly?

So Evans is off next week, after just 7 weeks on the show? Is he following Wogan's example? Or is he going to do The OneShow? _________________ MiS |

Mark O-For your info, Richard will be bringing in members of "his team" from a company called "Somethin Else".
All good folk.
It will be interesting to see who will be the filling the role of "spiritual guidance" as the role rotates weekend to weekend.
Allinson rocks. |

MiS, he said last week that he isn't on holiday, just having a week in the office to "think", probably because the raw Rajar data shows the breakfast listener numbers falling from a very high cliff. I remember once at school being sent to the bottom of the school field to "think" about what I'd done. Perhaps this is the R2 equivalent? " Your numbers are rubbish- spend a week in the office to just think about what you've done! Oh , and to teach you a lesson, we're getting that Richard bloke in.. so there!" |

I don't believe the new Rajar figures will be out till May.
If they are having a rethink, my top recomendation is- get rid of the sporting channell. It is unnecessary to the show |

I would respectively suggest that Chris could learn quite a lot from Richard about delivering a non shouty show.
In saying that Chris is so much better than Wogan to me. |

They need all that time to moderate the results, blend out any seasonal flucuations, add in a margin of error, then just to be on the safe side, double the numbers on the way to the bosses office....that's what I used to do with my profit forecasts... it worked too. |

Richard is living up to all expectations-brilliant radio first thing in the morning.
If you feel inclined to, tune into either live or through the iplayer feature his excellent weekend shows.
The 3.46 club rocks. |

I like Ken Bruce little comment at 9.30am on Friday. " You do the same show at the weekends Richard"... Just seems Ken was refering to Listeners will not miss out. |

I have enjoyed the whole week of breakfast with Richard Allinson and am sorry that I'll back be out in the wilderness again from Monday.
Did anyone else notice the huge number of mentions RA gave 'the shouty one' throughout the show on Friday? _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Well I am enjoying the fact that I can listen to a breakfast show this morning, no work and no Chris Evans! I will have to make the most of it for now, it won't last on either count. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

he may be a nice guy, so nice, in fact, he makes my toes curl with pain but there's really no substance to his show , it's just boring, bland, beeswax! Put some life in it! I just want to shake him. Hello! Hello! Are you in there! Yes you! You're on the Radio, the least you should do is make it sound like you're interested in being there! |
