A biz jet has just flown over us enroute from Jersey to Manchester visual. Seems odd to hear planes!

The skies still clear from all aircraft hear down south
The air is better without planes, so is the weather
And the world looks beautiful |

Out of the blue, they've changed their minds again and decided it's (nearly) all OK - all airports will reopen from 2200 tonight

I wonder if aircrew are all that happy about it? _________________ Ron |

Someone has put pressure on them to open the airspace, an hour ago there was another cloud on the way! I wonder how long it will remain open though after all the changes of plan there have been today?

Department of transport have warned british airspace could start shutting airspace again for the next few days. Met Office have warned this could happen for the next few years whilst the volcano keeps spilling out ash. |

When's SanteFe due back? Hope he doesn't get caught up in it on the way back as well.

A friend is currently holidaying in Minorca, due home on Friday. How highly do you rate his chances of getting back on time?

It's a good idea to keep a eye on this. It seems to be updated regularly: http://www.nats.co.uk/ _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

The Volcanic ash cloud is back again. Airlines have been grounded at present in Scotland, but could eventually spread right across the UK. People who are monitoring this don't expect it will disrupt travel that much like in 2010. |
