|
|
Emma Forbes has quit Radio 2 after a bust up with BBC bosses. She currently Co-Hosts the Alan Carr Saturday show and has already missed the other saturday because she was stranded from the iceland volcano.
Emma was due to take a holiday this coming week, but decided to cancel it. BBC bosses already had Melanie Sykes as a replacement, but refused to stand her down. Emma quit her radio 2 sunday show just before Christmas and Lynn Parsons took over the show. Since then the station has dropped the weekend show after the schedules were changed. Emma contract had eight months still to run. A source close to Emma said she loved the show. |

How WILL we cope?
Now , if only Evans and Carr would follow suit, Radio 2 would be getting back on the right foot. _________________ MiS |

I thought she'd finally seen sense but apparently she's just miffed. _________________ Minx

Mark, a good reporter always quotes his/her source. How do I know you haven't made this up?
Irrespective of that, I can't see it bothering many people, to be honest.

Was the cause of her leaving her Sunday show ever revealed? I seem to remember that she decided to leave mid-show. |

She probably thought: "Am I really sat here doing this rubbish?".

I didn't hear her own show, but she may well have thought that about the Alan Carr prog - and she'd be right. Why would anyone subject themselves to such puerile trash? Does ANYONE listen to it? _________________ MiS |

I've only heard some of it if the radio has been left on by mistake. |

I'm afraid the Alan Carr is the radio equivalent of a nail being dragged down a blackboard. The quicker he follows suit, the better, as far as I'm concerned. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Unless their name happens to be Chris Evans it seems. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Media Guardian have also picked up on this. They have already named her agent who won't comment on her departure. |

I can't wait for the dirt to be dished on this one. A "breaking story" it is, for sure. I suspect a massive cover-up, Mark. What do you think? |

I think the BBC got her replacement in - because they were going to ditch her behind emma and her agents backs. They wern't going to stand for it, so she was told to pull the plug. |
