It's a favourite device (don't ask me why) of message boards - how do you feel/what have you done/eaten today... in three words.
Or chain stories where each post is three words. _________________ Ron |

I like the 3 word thing. Does the "interactive text/email thing" without making me want to care about everyone's granny, anniversaries or whether they love the show. |

Currently as a consequence of work responsibilities having to do a lot of driving up and down the country.
News that Tarbuck is covering Drive time for 3 weeks does NOT fill me with any joy whatsoever-will try and find a decent alternative eg Absolute or Heart Drivetime Shows.
Why can't Stuart M be brought over from 6 Music to cover this stint-maybe even try Gideon Coe who I think is much underestimated as a presenter.
Tarbuck is a dreadful choice. |

You can leave Stuart where he is - the new RadMac is a brilliant show. |

I agree with Mark about Gideon Coe - he cares about the music rather than the twitter feed. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

Perhaps the reason they can't get decent stand-ins is the way all the previous ones (Goodier, Allinson, Maconie etc) have been treated in the past. I can't see any of this lot wishing to associate themselves with a station that employs Alan Carr et al.
I'm really trying to give Liza a chance but it really is poor. |

You don't like Liz or Zoe-maybe Radio 2 is not for you then-there are other choices available. |

I think Lisa was excellent this week and very listenable, a good change from the regular show and the dull homework, confessions etc |

Oh no..... I love Radio 2!
I've stopped listening to motormouth in the mornings unless I catch snippets of him anywhere and I enjoy the output from Ken Bruce right into the evening.
Zoe is a very poor stand-in for Ken. I don't want to hear about her dad, kids and husband on a daily basis and I'm annoyed that someone with practically zero knowledge of music gets to sit in on what is the only serious music show on the daytime output.
And as nice a person Liza is she just sounds too false. I know we can't have carbon copy stand ins but someone a bit nearer the regular occupant would be nice. |

Liza was good in the 80's comedy Watching. The problem is so many are better at TV than Radio, just wish they stick to there own line of work. |

Haven't heard too much of Drivetime this week but enjoyed what I did hear.
Nothing wrong with Liza on the radio.

Nope. Radio 2 off yet again. Far too cocky and sure of herself and calling everyone 'luv' all the time gets on my nerves. If I wanted a woman's coffee hour I'd go to the cafe in Marks and Spencer at 10am on a Wednesday and cackle along.
The stand in's are poor on R2 barring Tarrant who is the only one that I'll listen to during the daytime these days. Mayo I can do occasionally. _________________ Occasional provider of half decent internet forum banterage. |

I have been surprised by how much I've enjoyed Drivetime with Liza Tarbuck presenting it but I still prefer the show when Simon Mayo is in situ. |
