The radio times interviews a different breed of three Radio presenters. One who works for XFM's Lauren Laverne, Radio 2 Russell Brand and Dermot O'Leary. Check out the magazine for more details. |

Yes, is it me, or is 'different' a euphemism for 'cr*p' nowadays? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

A bit like alternative comedy. An alternative to being funny. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

La Douglas is of course very full of herself but one thing I agree is her description of a good radio presenter. Can't remember the exact thing but she mentions being able to communicate perfectly with the voice, rather than relying on cheeky facial expressions or gestures. Then you turn the page to see a big picture of Dermot and you wonder how deluded she can be?
There is also an implication that she hopes Dermot is here to stay as long as Wogan! |

I believe that Dermot is much better on TV than on radio. He comes across as quite professional on the Lottery programme, (insofar as anyone can come across as professional on that programme) whereas on the radio those rePEAted exPLOsive syllables drive me CRAzy.
But he plays some good music and gets some good bands on. |

Yes, Dermot does play some great music. It's a shame, really, that he's just not good at presenting it. |

I always fine him much better on the TV than radio. You can cover up and slightly get away with things on the Radio. |
