Ken Bruce gets BBC Radio 2's countdown of the UK's Top 100 Million Selling Singles under way. It's a chart based entirely on million-plus sales from the past six decades, incorporating vinyl, CD, cassette and downloads.
Compiled by The Official Charts Company, especially for Radio 2, the Top 100 is based on sales data from November 1952 to 7 August 2010. Listeners can expect more than a few surprises along the way – and some slightly unseasonable Christmas tunes!
Across the day all will be revealed: which song features not just twice, but three times; which song has rung up the greatest number of entries; and whether the Gibb brothers feature in the chart as Radio 2 celebrates its Bee Gees Bank Holiday.

Tony Blackburn returns to BBC Radio 2 this Bank Holiday Monday to continue Radio 2's countdown of the UK's Top 100 Million Selling Singles.

I think you missed the most important thing off the press statement for that day - Johnnie Walker back on 5-7pm (even if it is a Bee Gees special!) |
