Andy Kershaw isn't a Radio 2 sort of person - he's too good for the kind of treatment that the R2 controller metes out on his presenters. |

I too am glad he's sorted himself out.
AK is not the sort of DJ to change the style of music he plays, as much as I would like to hear a bit of "world music" I know awful isn't it, on radio2 there isn't really a place for it in the current R2 fixture list, shame.
Post Bannister or R1 AK always used to play after John Peel, on the lunchtime slots when R1 was at it's best, oh those days _________________ You will hear gospel and rhythm and blues and jazz, all those are just labels, we know that music is music. |

Bob Harris isn't averse to playing a bit of 'world music' on his saturday-into sunday show. It might be worth listening to Stuart Maconie's 6 music Freak Zone show on sunday evenings. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I had the pleasure of meeting, and chatting with Andy Kershaw many years ago at a charity motorcycling event.
Rerally nice, down-to-earth guy, loves his bikes as much as his music. I'm pleased to see him back on the level. |

It's tonight, and I'm absolutely delighted that he is returning. I mechanic for a friend who races classic bikes, and have met Andy on a few occasions at race meetings up and down the country. He's a lovely bloke and I look forward to his programme. |

Only caught a bit of Kershaw's new series, and didn't hear much music.
Now I've heard that Andy Kershaw appeared on this morning's Today programme on Radio 4, via telephone. He was ranting about art rock saying it was all worthless and that the rot set in with the release of Sgt. Pepper.
He was supposed to be talking about Radiohead, who I don't know, so I don't think I'll i-play the Today prog, but others here might want to?
I'm getting worried about Andy again. Is he just eccentric? _________________ -
