Given that the forum uses phpBB, which is the same as these forums, I don't know why that forum has registration problems whereas this one doesn't. Apart from the fact that it's using phpBB3 as opposed to phpBB2 here, the registration process is exactly the same - or should be.
BTW - I don't like black page backgrounds either. I find it really hard on my eyes. |

The terms are in jest beside the names and they change very quickly, sorry about the colour scheme, if things can be altered I hope we can improve things, if you dislike the board, I'm sorry but as Soulsister says it's an invitation, it's not something you have to be forced into doing...
Some members have never posted in years and like to lurk...
Sorry the reaction is negative...
Sadie and Toggy are as far as I know the first two to experience registration problems and it surprised us too but hopefully we're learning and fixing that problem. |

I am interested in joining, but have great difficulty seeing what's what. Maybe I'll hang on to see if the colour can be changed before doing anything.

Lurk away but should you join(even not posting)you have access to more areas. We're not a secret place but some members when talking more about things a little more personal wanted a little more protection...but even then we still say some things need careful thought before posting and again the PM facility helps... |

Not been around for a while, had the odd look here but not had time to post so hope you are all oik?
Good to see some new faces from the R2 Boards and also well done to John for keeping this place going for as long as he has no mean feat indeed.
I took a look at Gavin's place and agree about the colour scheme very hard on the eyes,. Usually on php.bb boards if you are using a different skin from the default one in your personal user profile you should have the option to change it as the default is nearly always there as an option, you can set up as many skins as you like for users to chose from. It should also be pretty easy for Admin to change it or put up alternative skins, good luck with that Great Gildersleeve.
I tried to join but couldn't get past the question bit about who was Mr & Mrs Addams woeful daughter...having a blonde moment I think!!  |

Although the admin can elect to disable this function and deny users the choice. |

Well there could only be one Colin couldn't there?!! I couldn't mistake your style We should catch up been a long time since all that advice eh? Thankfully I don't have to worry about it any more and am very glad about that now
Btw managed to register to Gavin's.... finally remembered the name of the daughter and chose sub-silver as it was an option but it didn't seem to work! |
