I love this album. Superb from start to finnish. Far better IMO than the duet album with Allison Krauss (though I love her own stuff)
"Band of Joy" is a musical joy. and the oponer "Angel Dance" really kicks

Blimey Clive you were up early Shocked

Like you, I couldn't take to Raising Sand - even though I bought it (on the strength of recommendations on the other board) and played it a lot in the mistaken hope that I would grow to like it. Never did.

I'm a big Led Zep fan and like what I've heard of this album - well the bits and bobs I've heard on the radio. So you reckon it's worth the purchase then?

Yes. I would highly reccomend it.
Somehow, Raising sand didn't really work for me- I liked some tracks but it lacked the magic. the new one is delightful. Impossible to clasify in musical genre- American roots music is an influence, but filtered through Robert Plants musical vision

As to time I posted- I woke up from another movie- I mean dream- & couldn't get back to sleep- so went on line for a while!

I was a passenger in a car in which the album was playing (loudly!) the other day and I have to say it sounded good.
