Excellent news.
Richard Allinson will be covering for Ken Bruce over the festive period.
Good to see RA back on daytime radio. |

I don't mind Richard or Ken but I suppose Ken deserves a break
After all he did work the last Bank Holiday Monday |

Of course if Ken clings on over Christmas as usual, this might be for only two shows... |

He’s become synonymous with Christmas –like a festive rash- just like all the other things that happen only at Christmas – Roast Chestnuts – Crackers- Rubbish Jokes over dinner and Richard Allinson on daytime radio. Come on- give us a break this year! It’s gotta be someone else’s turn to have him. |

I think he's been on less over Christmas more recently though. For me, though, Allinson is at his best post-Christmas - the 'running off the mince pies' shows as I like to think of them. Possibly because he makes that observation every half an hour. Not that I'm complaining, I like familiarity. |

Have the Christmas schedules been released already? Or did Richard mention this on his show? Christmas gets early every year. |

Really? It says "December 25th" in my calendar - although I'm sure we'll have to put up with all the dross music in high street stores very soon!!! |

Lovely.
So glad he's on, I realised a long time ago he wouldn't be sitting in for Chris. After all, there might be comments in the press as to how good he is..... |

I take it that Alan Carr isn't available to do the show, then?

There is none thing Richard Allinson does when he is hosting Popmaster that annoys me.
He describes some questions as easy. Now to quote I think Tarrant questions are only easy if you know the answer. If the contestant does not in fact know it gives the impression heb or she is thick.
Presumably Zoe will want to be with her family over Christmas |

Good! I'll be able to listen to the mid morning show again for that brief period! Did someone mention Alan Carr? His vocal inflections are ALMOST as irritating as Ken Bruces' squawking! |

Pop Master is usually rested until the New Year. Zoe might be hosting Drivetime or will Bob Harris make a return. |

That's why so many households have got redundant Trivial Pursuit games. Or ones where the box has been mangled by someone bashing their partner with it, after such remarks. _________________ Ron |

I agree. What is an "easy" question? Ask me a question about X Factor contestants & I will NOT know the answer, Ask me a question about some obscure musical act & I may well know |

I think he's changed his middle name to 'Bank Holiday'
At least at Xmas there's other things to do rather than listen to 2 weeks of 'Radio Blah-Blah' consisting of standins and repeats
I assume CE will be in on Xmas day like TW was
and hopefully Ken will be around some of the time |

I hope we get Bob back. He wasn't meant to be on last year but I think there was a bit of an out-cry which managed to get him secured for a one day only slot. Bob has been terrific on drive over the past few years - we should start a campaign. |
