Mark, you're contradicting yourself as has been pointed out above. But whatever...
You say "It's the Mail starting something". So why do you insist on adding credence to their interpretation of the facts by linking to the story?
The Mail has a vendetta against the BBC and has had for many years. Doesn't that put their so-called revelations into context? |

I know the daily maily rag is out for all guns at aunty. The BBC do pull it out of the bag always, and seem to win them over. |

Seem to win who over? The Mail? Are you kidding? The proprietorship of the Mail wants a BBC that doesn't receive any public funding and has been thrown to the lions. Preferably lions named "Murdoch".
The Mail's opposition to the BBC is ideological and reflective of its proprietor's right-wing tendencies. It always has been and always will be. |

If Moyles is losing listeners then it could be down too him being to old for the station auidence. He's not changed his act for years - and sticking my neck out, he should move over to Radio 2. |

I think he'll have to wait for somebody to move over first (you know, the older breakfast presenter who hasn't changed his act for years!). |

Posted: Sat Oct 30, 2010 3:58 pm Post subject: Tim Davie Interview Future For Chris Moyles |
|
|
Quote: | Tim Davie, the BBC's head of audio and music, said he wanted to keep Moyles at the BBC but declined to say whether he would stay on Radio 1.
Moyles, who recently signed a new one-year contract, lost 600,000 listeners in the latest official radio listening figures, and has been linked with a move to the commercial sector.
"I want to keep him on the BBC. He is in contract, that's what he's doing," Davie told Stephen Nolan on BBC Radio 5 Live last night.
Asked if Moyles would be on Radio 1 in two years' time, Davie said: "I hope he will be working with the BBC." Asked again, Davie repeated: "I hope he will be working with the BBC." |

He dosn't seem very happy broadcasters speaking out. Wogan has spoken out many times about the BBC. |

I love this bit:
The Guardian article on Chris Moyles wrote: |
On Chris Evans's comments that Moyles should leave Radio 1 because he was too old, Davie said: "To quote Chris Evans he does regret that he made the comment. I don't think it was his finest interview but he is allowed to have opinions. |
I can't imagine that Chris Evans would be opening his gob without giving much thought to what he was saying. Not for one minute. |

Tim Davie never comments on anything really. I think it's a waste of time interviewing him. |

That's what Press Officers are for, and with the whole of the BBC's top management in a state of total paranoia at the moment nobody in his position will be allowed to say anything to the press without the PR people breathing down his neck. |
