Firstly to nail my colours to te mast - I am not a fan of CE. I try to listen at least once a week for a few minutes in order to be fair.
After only a very few mins I have to turn off.
I believe that he is the wrong person in the wrong slot. Maybe earlier afternoon but not for the long drive home. |

He played a full carol on the show last night, O Come All Ye Faithful, all the way through.
I didn't think Radio 2 management would let him get away with deviating from the daytime music policy like that. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Did anyone hear Chris' Johnny Vegas impressions last night? Quite good actually although Vegas might not be too pleased.
Sally's off next week so she got her Crimbo pressies early. Who is covering next week: Bobbi Prior? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Surely it couldn't have been any worse than Matthew Wright's impressions of Macey Gray? |

Crimbo.... we used to say that word back in the 60's, maybe even 50's. I wonder where it originated from? or am I being thick?

There are no stupid questions,. You are kind of 50% right. According to Wikipedia
Crimbo is a slang term for Christmas, originating in urban slang before becoming more widely used. The OED cites the first printed usage to 1928. They credit John Lennon’s 1963 usage in a Beatles’ Fan Club Christmas single as the first recorded use of the variant form Crimble. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Then somebody could lock the door and throw away the key, perhaps?

Only if Lesley Douglas was left inside with Gazza...I can't stand either of them. Danny Baker for Radio 2! |

Yes, I agree. We should throw away the key on all of them. Good idea.

Lesley Douglas is a complete dork...I heard a rumour that The Muppet Show will be replacing The Comedy Hour as of January 2007...Jo Brand to be one of the comedians (or "comediennes"). |

Have you had the phone call yet? The logic behind your posts is evidently a source of great amusement to many around here!

NOT the Muppet Show.
Teenage Kicks Ep 1/6
Saturday 6 January
1.00-1.30pm BBC RADIO 2
Adrian Edmondson and Ben Elton make their BBC Radio 2 sitcom debuts in Teenage Kicks, written by Edmondson and Nigel Smith (the writer behind BBC Radio 4's hit series Vent).
Teenage Kicks tells the story of Vernon (Edmondson), an ageing punk rocker who moves into his teenage kids' student flat after a spectacularly nasty divorce.
Vernon is genuinely excited about having the chance to be young again but his kids, Max and Milly, and their flatmate David, are mortified.
Ben Elton plays the part of Bryan, Vernon's best mate and a former member of his punk band, The Plague.

And going on his appearance on HIGNFY last week he's certainly well fed these days. Not my kind of fella, it has to be said.

Thank goodness......... Lesley Douglas likes doing whatever takes her fancy whatever others think. Still, one more gobby ecocentric presenter on Radio 2 won't be noticed now will it. There are enough of them already!

Excellent place for him, I must say. (I can't receive it on FM where I am).

Anyone else listeneing?
What do you think?
