That's because they have a national schedule with better presenters but they are not yet truly national compared to Radio 2
I hope they continue to grow
Bob Shennan certainly needs some kind of kick up the backside

If only they could get rid of the adverts..

I am a big convert to Smooth. As posted in another thread (about Ken Bruce - went off the track a bit) their saturday night Motown Show is absolutely wonderful

Best get used to it. Radios One and Two will have 'em in a couple of years when Call Me Dave decides to auction them off - and, in the meantime, all the competing networks will have closed down.

Still, Murdoch will sleep soundly as usual.

I think Smooth are doing lots of things right.

The recruitment policy of knowledgeable professionals presenters is a draw factor for me.

Radio 2 management need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Not whilst Smooth is restricted to DAB nationally.

It should be pointed out that the latest RAJARs only cover July, August, and September - Smooth didn't go national until the start of October.
