It was expensive, that's for sure, and it will pay off for M&S. |

I don't like the fact the advert shows one of their so called Oakham chickens but according to a programme I watched about a month ago the birds come from Northern Ireland or Devon but definitely not from within one hundred miles of Oakham
Similarly Tesco sell a brand called Willow Farm chickens but Willow Farm does not even exist
These are simply brand names which I would venture to suggest whilst not illegal are intended to mislead customers
I dare say it happens with other supermarkets as well
My philosophy is to buy and eat locally produced food wherever possible preferably organic if its not too expensive _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

It's got a fair number of fancy birds in it, but I haven't spotted a chicken. |

Yes, it doesn't have the snap of previous ads this year. Peter Kay, Danii Minogue, Twiggy - you could put Rhianna and Enrique in there and it would still be naff because of the Bee Gees track. _________________ Ron |

Yes on reflection Ron having now watched the non chicken version I think I prefer Oakham chickens from Northern Ireland after all
The birds on the video to me look a little past their sell by date
As for best before well I hardly dare to speculate _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Well Lisa Snowden is in it so it's good enough for me! I must admit to liking the M&S ads... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

In the summer, we were sat in one of the high street pubs in Southwold, Suffolk, and were reflecting on the fact that apparently Twiggy had a place nearby and spent many weekends in the delightful town.
Then I watched the programme by Alan Titchmarsh in which he accompanies well-known people on their favourite walks and blow me if Twiggy didn't take him around Southwold.
Not only that, but the bar we were sitting in was where the Marketing Director for M&S saw Twiggy one Sunday and asked her if she'd be interested in being the new "face of M&S".
Well, I thought it was some sort of coincidence, anyhow.
I still find Twiggy utterly lustworthy, too, but don't tell the missus please. |

Ruddlescat, your mention of Tesco's Willow Farm chicken reminded me that a poster of the Genesis fans' Turn It On Again forum passed on a picture of their egg range!
It was in reference to the Willow Farm sequence in 'Supper's Ready'! There is also a Willow Farm in 'The Archers'. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
