I saw the psychiatrist episode and wondered about her dad. Did the mother drive him out due to her controlling behaviour?
Mark Heap did very well not to yell at them. The bit where she played with the Russian dolls reminded me of my little niece's fascination with them at my sister's! _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

I do like the way she looks straight at the camera to share her frustration/amazement/incomprehension etc with us.
OH and sons are not inclined to like her but are coming round I'm glad to say and we all thought she was a good host on HIGNFY last week. |

PS I also like Mark Heap. He was so good in Lark Rise and also in that all-too-brief series about the rambling group - The Great Outdoors, I think it was called. |

He was in a lot of great comedies in the 90's especially as Brian in Spaced which is how he is known at ours.He was in Chris Morris's Jam as well as Big Train
I didn't like the Miranda when it was on Radio 2 but I think it has moved to TV very well.
I too like the Frankie Howerd looks at camera, an dthe mother doing it this week was very funny _________________ You will hear gospel and rhythm and blues and jazz, all those are just labels, we know that music is music. |

Mother/daughter relationships, differences, arguments etc have long been a source of fun for the comedy scriptwriter, so it wasn't particularly ground-breaking. A lot of her series I've found embarassing to watch but that last night did make me smile (my wife thought the other way around, she didn't think it was as good... I wonder why )
I quite like her out of sitcom. _________________ Ron |

I just do not find Miranda Hart funny.
I would put her in the 'annoying box' with CE _________________ I like hedgehog crisps |

Only caught this series halfway through and really enjoyed it.
Have also spotted that her Radio 2 series Miranda Hart's Joke Shop is getting a repeat on Radio 7. Missed that first time around so I'll give it a listen. |

I wouldn't wish that on anybody. It's too cruel to contemplate.....
That said, I like Miranda Hart anyway. |

Becky, thanks for that info about the repeat of The Great Outdoors series. What good news that BBC2 is going to show it as before it was tucked away on BBC4 and I think had repeats at unsocial hours. |
