It's fantastic hearing the Birthday boy who turns 40 on Wednesday who covering Chris Evans this week. |

Its noticeable that the person covering must not be anyone who shows up the Evans creature by being hugely better. (Remembering the praise heaped on Richard Allinson when he was allowed to cover.) _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

It's fantastic hearing anybody covering for the irritating Evans, to be honest! |

I'm afraid Aled doesn't quite do it for me, but yes he is better on the ears than you know who! _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Anyone would be an improvement on the regular incumbent, but I agree with others; Aled's got the gig cos he's Mr. Bland and no threat to Evans. |

Tuned in today. Have to say the "boy" is certainly low key-bordering on boring imo.
He doesn't seem to be terribly excited or engaged in anything.
Think he should stick to his TV career. |

Can't say I heard him allude to his nationality- it would be unlike him to do so................ _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

I always loved the comment on the defunct R2 board - 'Is Aled Jones A Dementor?'
He's a safe pair of hands, but whenever Good Morning Sunday starts I have to turn over to Chris Hawkins on 6 Music! _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
