I was playing Loose Screw by The Pretenders in the car this morning and I was wondering what the single from this album was. I'm sure R2 would have played something off it at the time of release (2003 is the date on the cover) I haven't played it for some years and a look at the track listing doesn't really ring any bells either. I didn't hear all of the album. I wondered about 'Walk Like A Panther' but after hearng it I don't think it was that, it was someone else's version of the song that was a hit wasn't it? Does anyone know what was the actual single was, if indeed there was one?

Was the single Night In My Veins?

I remember Walk Like A Panther being a hit for the All Seeing I featuring Tony Christie, but I can't picture Chrissie Hynde singing Jarvis Cocker's bitter lyrics about an older man being thrown over for a younger model, unless she changed the gender.

Thanks for your reply aviddiva. It wasn't 'Night In My Veins' as that was on Last Of The Independents. A great track, certainly one of my favourites of theirs. I played the album this evening and was reminded how good it all was. 'Night In My Veins' isn't listed on Loose Screw.

Thanks for that Nod. I was out in the car again this morning and had another listen to Loose Screw and the first two tracks you mention do sound a bit familiar.
