did any watch catch the unknown hancock on saturday night
i watched his face to face interview on you tube from 1960 the next day
worth a watch if you can catch it
sad end to such a great talent

I was incredibly struck by how June Whitfield, as Hancock's arty bohemian date in one sketch, could have been the mother of Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) in Big Bang Theory!

She had that flat kind of voice, and the paperclip necklace must have inspired Carol McGiffin to wear something similar on Loose Women.

I've often felt that Tony Hancock grew to resent his supporting cast outshining him (as with Sid James).
