Yep, they were - by a long mile - one of THE best bands on the gig circuit in the 70s. In fact, they were so good it's unlikely that many of today's Radio 2 producers or presenters will have even heard of them (Johnnie Walker excepted, because he MC'd some of their gigs).
Anyhow, last night Stackridge played on Craig Ferguson's CBS chat show in the States.
And very good they were too.

PS: I've never before made a connection with Genesis in their music as pointed out by Ferguson himself, but watching this I can now see a similarity with Genesis' style back in their "Foxtrot" / Peter Gabriel days. Never noticed it before. |
