He had to run on Tuesday 19th April to cover for Zoe Ball, when she went sick, and rang in late at 7.50am... |

No one ever listens to the breakfast show a bank holiday , so it makes sense put on a DJ that no one ever listens to. - a bit like Radio Caroline. |

People who do listen to Radio Caroline or DJs like Richard Allinson are more likely to "listen" as opposed to merely "hearing" the cackle that comes out of breakfast time speakers from a bloke who isn't interested in anything but the sound of his pwn voice and inflating his own ego. If people are happy to put up with such rubbish them let 'em have it - they must be easily pleased.
Gimme Allinson or the wonderful, totally independent Radio Caroline any day. At least such presenters know what they're talking about and have an appreciation for the music they play and which is given prominence in their shows. The fact that Radio Caroline might be considered "minority interest" broadcasting makes it all the more attractive to me.
Evans doesn't really care about the music he plays or anything else for that matter. He really is such a prat, so it's nice to hear alternatives at that time of the day - even if it's only a brief respite from Captain Ego! |

Richard Norris, Shane Carlsson and Paul Baker on ARFM are into the music they play rather than anxious to whitter on all the time too. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!

I'll be listening as I have the day off. I heard the last half hour of RA this morning when I got up for work. Sadly ZB followed so I re-tuned. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |
