I see the ignorant mobile phone users were out in force last week during the performance - probably asking their mates why Emily in the show didn't sing 'Wuthering Heights' or 'Cloudbusting'!
Admittedly it was a deadly earnest affair - three gifted sisters all in a crowded room and their brother wasn't as successful as they were. It sounded more like a premise for a sitcom - 'Everybody Loves Charlotte!' or 'Bramwell In The Middle'.
There were allusions to Mr. Rochester's first wife in the first half - Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys was the sort of prequel to Jane Eyre in telling her story. _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
