Had been looking forward to seeing this on BBC1 on Wednesday but what a disappointment it proved--patronising, dumbed-down tosh. I shan't be watching remaining episodes!

Yes it was very disappointing. I was expecting more of a documentary programme, not hordes of holiday-makers providing a back drop to what looked like a "seaside special." _________________ Minx

I caught up with it last night as we were away up north for the day but fast forwarded through most of it. I won't bother recording it next week.

To be honest, it was what I expected, dumbed down and typical BBC1 at that time of day. Why have Alexander Armstrong? Carol Kirkwood just gets more and more annoying and of course, we really need another "audience partcipation" show
Now, a proper "Weather Show" done seriously would be worthwhile. _________________ MiS |

I don't think there can be anyone left who hasn't seen the Michael Fish hurricane blunder either!

Still look on the bright side (did you notice that rather bad attempt at a joke ) - at least we didn't have the ginger host of the Friday one show sticking his oar in - but there again I suppose there's time yet
I could tell the show was going to be naff just from seeing the numerous trailers _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I was going to watch this but won't bother now. (I missed it because my elderly mum lost all the channel settings on her television again, having been switched to digital by a 'nice young man'.) It took me an hour to sort it out! _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

The weather is an interest of mine so I was looking forward to this. Basically I enjoyed it - but, there are one or two things that I found wanting. First, the audience were so loud at the start of the show that you couldn't hear what the presenters were saying.
Secondly, of course there was the seemingly mandatory 'whistling rufus' in there. It should be law that they are supplied with a gobstopper big enough to last the whole show and not be allowed to remove it from their gob until the show has ended!
Thirdly too much unnecessary speeding up of the film, though I do know this happens in other shows as well, so not confined to this one. I have to shield my eyes when they do this as it hurts them. Time to reign in the computer nerds perhaps.
The show would be that much more enjoyable for me if the above were addressed with urgency. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
