Eileen I didn't even realise that it was on. I've been so busy I forgot to check RT and I haven't heard a trailer.
Thanks for the reminder I'll have to do the same!

I've had it on for 15 minutes and he's sounding very good. I'll have to set the Sky box for the rest.

They certainly kept quiet about it! I heard one trailer during the week and somehow thought it was starting in a week's time. |

I honestly couldn't believe it when Bill said we were at the last song in his first programme back...it seemed as if he had only been on about half an hour.
A great selection of songs! (there's a playlist for every other programme on that day but not for this one as far as I can see...why is that,I wonder?)
Chuck Berry still gigging at 86 and still insisting he get's his fee up front! |

I think Bill's show is the best thing on Radio 2 all week. The time flies past and he leaves you wanting more. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

I wish there was a playlist though, it's been missed off from all of the episodes.
Hope there will be the usual Christmas one this year!

I love Heart and Soul by Jan and Dean ....the last time I was with my little granddaughter I was teaching (in a very amateurish way ) her to play it on her keyboard.
Richard Chamberlain..... the most requested guest on Terry Wogan's TVprogramme... didn't know that but I'm not surprised ... as Bill said Richard's voice wasn't the strongest or best but there was a plaintive quality to it that was very pleasing to my ears.
In this programme he played a song that always brings me to tears... The Big O's Too Soon To Know ...what feeling he brought to his songs...
I agree 100% with what Bill said about him.
(The lack of a playlist on some programmes is very annoying) |

I hope Brian will be there for a long time yet but, when he does ultimately hang up his microphone, could Bill Kenwright be a good future presenter for SOTS?

I was sorry to hear Bill say that Bobby Vee wasn't well after he had played Run To Him,last week, so I found a website connected with Bobby and sent an email with my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I received an email back from his son,Jeff, thanking me for my good wishes saying he would pass them on to his Dad.
I have since read on Wiki that Bobby was diagnosed in 2012 as being in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease. |

That's sad news Becky. Bobby's son Jeff was with him the last time I saw him about 10 years ago.
