A very enjoyable edition of the show this week with Jamie Cullum performing some of the songs he would choose for his Desert Island...
Talking about his youthful (he's 32) looks he said when he first went to school an announcement was made, after a few days, in the assembly hall to tell the girls in the later classes to desist from picking up Jamie Cullum and carrying him around.
He sang his version of this beautiful song by Randy Newman...

That did make me laugh, Becky. I found it hard to get into it, in a live setting, though he and Kirsty were on form. He does brilliant versions of other people's songs, too.
Randy Newman writes wonderful songs, doesn't he..? I particularly like Dusty's version of "Rain"

Jamie seems an altogether, all right guy, listening to him on this....I don't know why it wasn't in the studio as usual...missed that.
No editing out,as she said there might be, of Kirsty saying people would pay her good money for a certain service
You're right about Randy Newman,Raver,he does write some wonderful songs and Dusty's version of that song is a beautiful one too...what a voice she had ... |
