....detox Tories
After a week of gaffes, No 10 calls in the Happy Mondays singer who helps to launch a T-shirt campaign to banish 'pastygate' In a move that will astonish both critics and supporters, David Cameron has appointed the controversial Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder as a special adviser on social class, following a series of political missteps since the budget.
The decision is believed to have been taken after urgent discussions between the so-called Quad group of ministers, comprising Cameron, George Osborne, Nick Clegg and Danny Alexander, the chief secretary to the treasury.

If politicians of all parties had any remote understanding of these issues then they shouldn't need to appoint an 'adviser'
As for this particular adviser the appointment smacks of the usual politician's gimmick designed to defuse a potentially difficult situation when in reality little will change _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I was scanning the MoS to find their April Fool Story… I picked out the one about the Asian Long Horn Beetle invading the UKs trees and spent ages laughing my way through it but I’d picked the wrong one- we are being invaded by the Asian Long Horn Beetle- our trees are doomed! It was the piece about Bubbly Tax and George Osborne stocking up on Moet, before the tax comes into force, that was the April Fool. Doh! That one seemed perfectly plausible to me. |

The thing is Becky - if you think about it the suggestion isn't actually as far fetched as some would have us believe - and that's the really frightening thing about it _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
