I haven't heard them myself as I don't listen that much at weekends. John Marsh is retiring this year so 'Jim' may be a replacement for him in due course.

Patrick Lunt wasn't on Sunday nights last week. Seemed odd without him.

I think it's ripe time, that Lesley began employing more women as hosts. Don't know where she'll find them from, but surely to god there are women out there who could slip nicely into Radio 2?

I think of Lesley as being a bit like Herr Thatcher when it comes to employing women. If I've got my facts straight, in her eleven years in office, Mags, failed to put another woman into her Cabinet of twenty or so males - with the short-lived exception of Baroness Young. Her ministerial appointments amounted to only eight women, only one of whom rose higher than the ranks of junior minister.

So maybe Les, likes the idea of being 'The Only Girlie In The Village' with a casting couch in her office.
