Graham Norton and Jeremy Vine bring the magnificent spectacle of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant to life in a special programme, kick-starting Radio 2's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Broadcasting live from The Mermaid Theatre on the embankment of the Thames, Graham and Jeremy are joined by a host of Radio 2 presenters and special guests:
Steve Wright tells the story of the significance of the Thames and its connection to HM The Queen,
Tony Blackburn runs down the Diamond Jubilee Chart with music that's fit for a Queen,
Anneka Rice has an exclusive preview of a new exhibition of HM The Queen's diamonds ,
Vanessa Feltz profiles three listeners born in 1952, 1977 and 2002, all of whom have inspirational stories to tell,
And Nicki Chapman provides live updates from the Thames as the Flotilla sails by.
Plus, Imelda Staunton reads a new Diamond Jubilee poem written especially for Radio 2 by rising poetry star Mark Niel.
Graham and Jeremy chat to listeners around the country about their Jubilee celebrations and four lucky listeners share their personally-narrated stories about meeting The Queen.
And joining Graham and Jeremy live at the Mermaid are an array of celebrity guests with a regal connection to help celebrate the historic event.

Chris Evans hosts a showbiz spectacular live from Buckingham Palace, ahead of the Diamond Jubilee concert.
Expect star interviews and backstage gossip aplenty from the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Sir Elton John, Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams amongst others, as they prepare to sing to the Queen to celebrate her 60 years on the throne.
We'll also catch up with those behind the scenes without whom such a huge event could never happen.
And Nicki Chapman will be updating us with travellers' tales from the crowds on The Mall.

From 19:30 Until Late..

Quote:
Sir Terry Wogan and Jo Whiley will be on hand to provide full coverage of the concert, which will feature a host of superstars including Dame Shirley Bassey, Jessie J, JLS, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, Annie Lennox, Madness, Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Sir Cliff Richard and Stevie Wonder. Live from in front of Buckingham Palace, Sir Terry will present alongside Jo Whiley who will bring us backstage gossip and interviews.

I think a lot of TV and Radio broadcasters have hired boats for the day when the Queen is on the Thames. I know Simon Bates was doing to preparation last week for Smooth Radio.
