|
|
It's just been announced that Martyn a regular guest on the JV Show has agreed a deal to sell his well known website Moneysavingexpert.com to a major on line comparison group for a sum in excess of 87 million pounds
Now that's what I call financial astuteness but I do hope Martyn isn't going to bow out of the world of consumer finance as I'm sure both via the JV Show and on line he's helped a lot of ordinary people in many ways but perhaps most notably with his campaigns over bank charges refunds and PPI reclaims
Somehow I can't see him putting his feet up just yet so it will be interesting to see what happens _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

He's got no choice but to stay - the deal is dependent on him sticking with the company for a few years. But fair dos to him. |

I'm sure he will.
This morning I've saved £16 on 2 free tickets to the Northern Homes Show in June due to his newsletter. Over the years I've saved quite a bit from his weekly email.

He will be giving £1 million of it straightaway for debt counselling at the Citizens Advice Bureau with more to follow when the money becomes available .....he is tied in to Money Saving Expert for 3 more years but has lots more campaigns he wants to pursue
You can hear all he has to say on the matter (his only interview)on 5 Live from about 12-15 onwards when it becomes available on the iPlayer.... |

Do you think he could use his new influence with Money Supermarket to get them to pull those inane TV & radio adverts that drive me bonkers? |

Have the TV ads increased Money Supermarket's turnover and profitability, though? If they have - they're working!
And another equally important thing: you're talking about them! (They call it "enhancing product and brand awareness").
