8 People have been told there are to be charged relating to phone hacking. This includes Former News Of The World Executive Rebekah Brooks who will be charged with hacking Milly Dowler's phone messages. Former Downing Street adviser Andy Coulson is also going to be charged. Hopefully this will end the misery many have gone through.

How? The fact that they face charges doesn't mean anything until the cases get to court and a verdict is reached in each case.

The problem with these charges.

1. Will it be a fair trial?

2. It be a media circus?

53 charges altogether. So what evidence have they got. There is a saying - " You scratch my back" - If you don't - " Then I will drag you down with me"

These trials could not happen for a few months or even a year. Regarding David Camerons judgement about Andy Coulson will be bought up again..

That's for the judge to decide, surely.

Why do you think Rupert "I didn't know anything about it" Murdoch (the Godfather of the Murdoch Mafia) is attempting to distance himself from all this with his recent board resignations?

Mark, you have too much time on your hands if you can dig up all this stuff. Get a hobby or something.

In answer to your original question Mark - no this will not end anything or provide any kind of closure for the victims

The wonderful British press will carry on exactly as they did before because they think they are above the law - and they can easily replace a few corrupt journalists who might end up doing 'time' although I think even that is unlikely - plenty of other corrupt journalists out there waiting to fill the gap once all this has blown over

The people involved in this are not even sorry - only sorry that they got caught as Charlotte Church pointed out - they're the scum of the earth Mad

It's interesting to see how the real criminal - Murdoch himself - has managed to extricate himself from the whole debacle. Who knows who would have been dragged into it had his head have been put on the block?
