Apparently, senior government ministers and leading economists were surprised by the worse-than-expected figures. Not only that, but Chancellor George (Is it time for me to start wearing long trousers?) Osborne has said that the country faced "big challenges".
Yes, Georgie Boy. It does. But you have an ever bigger challenge in keeping your job, matey.
Quite why this is all a surprise is anybody's guess; ask any small or medium-sized business owner about the state of the economy and the answer will be staring you in the face!

Apparently some people in the Lib Dems are pressing for Vince Cable to be given the job
Whilst I can't see it happening I do think he has the credentials to stake a serious claim if things get even worse than they are already _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

On that point I do agree with you, Ruddles. See - it's possible! |

I think it must be, by now a triple-dip, or have we reached quadruple-dip recession. I think it's time for a complete change of government, as this apology for a 'government' have messed up too much to be given any more chances. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

To be honest, I think it is - and always was - a single dip. Just a deeper single dip than Georgie Baby was capable of visualising! |
