I like Clare Balding and actually might give the show a listen - something I don't do now
Nothing against Aled but I just think his present Sunday show doesn't really work _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I guess contracts are renewed and he probably wants to spend time with his family. He's got a lot of grilling schedules with a Tour next year too, and recording Songs Of Praise, as well as Daybreak. One has to give. |

I don't listen to Aled but I will give Clare a chance. It would be nice to have something decent to listen to when I have to get up early for work on Sundays. I am sure that there are some good presenters in local radio who would do a good job and save the BBC some money though. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

I enjoy Aled on Daybreak when I've seen him. He's serious and funny. |

Pity they don't give him a decent female co presenter instead of that silly arrogant bitch currently on our screens _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

She must have a contract with the BBC to be in as many shows as possible.
I'll give it a listen, I wasn't that keen on Aled. |

Bob Shennan is filling station with as many female presenters as he can find at present, either cover - or their own shows. |

Well it has been happening for some time but surely this news ends the pretence that Good Morning Sunday is in any sense a religious programme |

Who knows? She might be a raving evangelist. That'd be a laugh. _________________ Ron |

I don't think it's essential for the presenter of this show to have a faith. What matters is getting the guests to talk about theirs.

I like the Aled...be a shame to see him go, but Clare will be a more than worthy replacement.
Today was meditation. Don't have to be religious to try that. It works, even for us heathens. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Good. This is the best news I've heard in a long time. Six years.... seems like much longer. |

Is there nothing this bloody woman won't be on? She's presenting an awards programme about teachers this week. What the hell a sports journalist has got to do with teachers I will never know. _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Is there no limit to the LGBT influence at the BBC - hetero presenters are as rare as hen's teeth. _________________ Standing on Ray Moore's shoulders |

I fail to see how anybody's sexual orientation affects their ability to be a good or bad presenter which is the only thing that matters to me. |

Ha! Sunday seems to have the highest LGBT presenters but even then it's only 3 (including Balding). Hardly taking over - and not that it matters anyway. |

surely it's just the LG part , I'm not aware of any Bs* or Ts on R2 but then you never can tell these days- especially on the radio..... I did hear a rumour that Deadly sometimes reads the news wearing a gym skirt and a "Kate" wig but you can't always beleive these rumours.
* pretty much everyone is a B, off and on anyway, and as long as no one sees you. |

And Clare's not on again, due to the grand national ?
They should give it full time to Hardeep |

I know it sounds unlikely , but it was Hardeep who said it was due to the grand national, maybe she was too busy in the week ?
Why do they get people to take on shows who then have other things to do?

That's R2 all over now though, isn't it. No proper radio presenters any more, just minor slebs trating it as a part time job. Dermot off to do Big Brother (or whatever it is, I would never watch it) EP disappearing for weeks on end, presumably Graham Norton will be disappearing for the summer (note to Boss, can I do that please). Michael Ball's on tour.
Nice work if you can get it _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Well, Clare Balding isn't in again today. It would be interesting to know how many weeks she has missed since she "took over" GMS. This isn't a judgement on my part, I don't mind whether it's her or Hardeep. |

She seems to find plenty of time for TV work. She's got two shows on telly this week. Make your mind up Balding _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

Wait till BT Sport launches with the next football season, as she's a regular on there too. |
