15 Minute Drama on Radio 4 this week

What a pair of sisters they were and what a wonderful story this is ...good that it is being given a wider platform so that more people learn of their efforts ...wonderful women

Ezio Pinza who features in the story was the 'voice' of Emil de Becque in the film South Pacific

The true story of English sisters Louise and Ida Cook (better known as romantic novelist Mary Burchell), whose love of opera led them into a life of danger, rescuing Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany.

That was an excellent serial. What brave women "The Righteous Sisters" were.
