For all you Popmaster fans or if like me you just can't get enough of music quizzes it's worth pointing out that this new feature begins every day just after 11am on Lynn Parsons new morning show on Smooth
The title reminds me of the old 'Pop The Question' thing which Johnnie Walker used to do on Radio One in the seventies but I've no idea what the format will be
Since it doesn't clash with Popmaster it might be worth giving it a listen - I just hope they include some challenging questions at least now and then _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Well Rach here at Ruddles Towers we've had a whole team of researchers looking into this mysterious problem (well a couple actually if you count the person who called round for coffee this morning ) - and the word from the horses mouth is that Smooth decided to allow a week for contestants to register on their website which is the official method of entering - and the good news is that the whole thing is going to kick off on Monday of next week
I reckon my information is fairly good but please don't shoot the messenger if there are any further delays
I just hope all this build up is justified when the quiz finally gets off the ground but Lynn is generally a very entertaining presenter so fingers crossed it should be OK
Oh and by the way - apparently they're going to present the losing contestant with a booby prize - it's years since I've heard that expression - back in the glory days of 'It's A Knockout' if my memory serves me well _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Well did anyone listen? - it's on each weekday at around 11.30am
Not a very auspicious start with a contestant who wasn't the brightest and had to be helped by her husband - I very much doubt that Gary Bones would wear that
Mind you the lady seemed very happy with her prize which was just about what her efforts deserved - after all who wants to win a digital radio when you can bag a wonderful blow up pink flamingo
I don't know whether the flamingo wears a tee shirt bearing the slogan 'one year out' but I know my cats would absolutely love it _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Smooth has been trying to compete (poorly) as a commercial Radio 2 since they relaunched as a station for middle aged adults. It's still hasn't been decided if Global are taking it over. |
