Tickets on sale 17th January 8am. Three days this year Fri Sat Sun. South is 23rd-25 Aug, details of North will come on Friday on the breakfast show!

Laverstoke Park again, and that's August Bank Holiday weekend, so should be assured of a sell-out crowd.

Local residents weren't too happy at the noise and disruption caused last time but they have been given advanced and priority booking rights.

Yep it's at the same place for south this year, Jodi's farm, I won't be going this year though but only because it's not really an event to go to on your own:- it's a family thing:- I don't have a family to go with. That's the way it goes with us cyborgs.

There was some news on carfest this morning but I missed it. Once I get out of bed... I'm onto that Metro Radio App in the kitchen.

I expect it was something along the lines of :- it's gonna be bigger and better this year.... well, sometimes bigger isn't better....you have to discriminate, you have to choose things that are interesting or amusing and have a point... not just bigger, not just more, not just extra fodder for the cash on legs, the cash has to be the by-product of something wonderful, not the purpose.

All the posh tickets went first .... but then they would cos all the poor people don't have any dosh until they get paid at the end of next week. They last got paid the week before Christmas. It was a brilliant plan to make sure there's no riffraff in the VIP enclosure! Laughing

To say thank you, to all the folks involved in the setting up, selling and and all those whom bought or tried to buy carfest tickets, Chris has played a whole truck load of fantastic music this morning. Check it out on the iplayer. The thank you music started at 8am- well you know after the jingly things but you may as well listen to the whole show.

It's really sad, there's already people selling carfest tickets on ebay... it's not like yesterday morning they were free in August and, oh dear, today they've noticed they're watching telly that weekend after all so have to sell the tickets.

All the tickets are sold, 2 million squid made for charity, carfest isn't until August so we'll most likely hear little more about it until much closer to the event.
