Chris Huhne political career is over after admission he lied about the speeding offences. He tried to give the offences to his ex wife. He will be sentenced soon once his ex wife court case is over. The MP once a contender for Liberal Democrat leader could be jailed for perverting the course of justice.

It really doesn't come as any great shock following the expenses scandal when the vast majority of politicians of all parties believed they could get away with almost anything - and the sad fact is that most of them did
Chris Huhne obviously subscribed to this view ten years ago when the offence was committed but how many other politicians have quite likely done the same or something equally dishonest - quite a number I would venture to suggest _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

He got what he deserved but the lesson here is do not publicly dump your wife and rub it in her face.
I'm sure he is far from the only one though, it's easy to be wise in hindsight but if only he'd taken the points at the time none of this would have happened. I understand he ended up being banned from driving anyway. |

His new girlfriend is the daughter of the the columnist on my local rag. He's a self-important, pretentious, self-opionated bigot as well. Maybe there is something to the idea that girls are attracted to men who remind them of their father _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

I don't really have an opinion on this.
If you lie you get found out.
If you do something wrong and you're caught, you get punished.
That is the way of things. Just normal business. |

Bitter family battle. There is obviously more than meets the eye just over 3 penalty points. An ex wife going on revenge, and a son who really hates his father. What a mess bringing a career to a end. |

Well there is a well known saying
'Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned'
Never more true than in the present case _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Having heard the texts that the deeply unpleasant Huhne Jnr sent on the JV prog and the shenanigans that the ex was up to in court the whole family sound like a shower of s***s _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

I can't help having sympathy for the son, in spite of his foul text messages.
People say vile things when they are angry and deeply hurt and to have the family breakdown and the dishonesty of his father played out in public must be terribly hard to deal with, even as an eighteen year old. If he had made these remarks verbally they would never have come out into the open but because he texted them they are there for all to see.
Poor young fellow is all I can say.
One of the worst aspects in this case is the sham "happy marriage" which Chris Huhne used in order to to win his seat. |

Has it got lost in the telling that Huhne wanted his wife to accept the points because he had claimed for a scheduled flight to Heathrow on expenses but flew on a cheapo to Stansted ? So he can't have been driving - another expenses scandal methinks......... _________________ Standing on Ray Moore's shoulders |
