Sorry Mark, I started to feel sick halfway through the 10 paragraphs of "isn't Evans wonderful"...
and Moira Stuart - "cool"?? good grief..
No wonder I hardly listen to any of it these days.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
I have heard how radio should be. |

Completely agree Santa - I didn't even watch it because anyone with even half a brain would work out very quickly that the whole thing is designed to ram Mr Evans down our throats even more than the BBC already does
Thank goodness that there are now decent alternatives at that time of day _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Actually it's a very interesting and well written article, good praise for Steve Wright "of all the presenters I meet, he is the friendliest and most accommodating" |

What was there to watch apart from viewing the gallery of photos which I didn't do until after I'd read the article?
Agree with Ken's comment that radio is rarely listened to by more than 2 people together. I like to be on my own to really appreciate radio.

I enjoyed that. Fascinating to read that Steve Wright spends so many hours in the buliding. Since the demise of Danny Baker's show on BBC London, I've listened to a fair few of SW's shows..and I'm amazed to say, I enjoy them, for the most part. Even his singing....still can't really take to Tim Smith and Janey, though...too sycophantic. But he does create a great atmosphere.
As for Ken, what can you say. A true radio genius, like Danny Baker, who ad libs his way through a show. Not easy, with the recoirds he has to play, to make every show a good listen.
Personally, I don't like shouty people first thing, so I wouldn't entertain Chris Evans, though he did capture the spirit, during his Olympic programmes. I would recommend Shaun Keaveney on 6Music. Funny man. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

This is well-known - because most of his show's content is pre-recorded, for the actual show it tends to be him sat on his own playing in all the content. That's why there's no webcam - it would give the game away! It's also why Tim and Janey can never react to listener's comments on their talkie bits until the next day's show. I'm amazed he goes to quite so much effort! |
