Restructuring company Gordon Brothers Europe have bought the remaining blockbuster stores. Some 264 stores with 2,000 staff have been secured. 49 stores were sold to Morrison, but unfortunately 200 had to go with a loss of staff.

I can't see what they are going to do with Blockbuster - when once the film is released on DVD you can go to likes of Asda and buy it for a tenner and have it for life, instead of renting it for a few days. I guess the future is still bleak for the company and will see a few more shut. |
