Only one day after the work of this hospice was featured on Good Morning Sunday, it's emerged that one of the nuns who run them has helped a terminally ill young man to go with a prostitute, so that he won't die without ever having had sex.

Hugely difficult to know what to think--abuse of position or compassionate act to tragic young man? Would anyone care to mull over this one?

Ian.

No problem with the young chap or the woman, working as a prostitute. That's life. The Nun must have had a crisis of conscience though to arrange, and maybe pay for another woman to do something, that she herself wasn't prepared to do, assuming of course ( religious undertakings to one side) that she was perfectly able.

I read this storey yesterday in the mail, there is no problem at all, of course the act could not go ahead in the hospice so it was arranged at the young mans home,
He is a very intellegent and articulate guy who has the same physical needs as anyone else but recognised that his illness was a serious problem in having a relationship.
By the way the lady involved specialises in this sort of situation and she was payed out of the young mans own money.
I can't see a problem in that!

It just occured to me that the Nun may be a 100 years old for all I know .. so I guess she did the right thing.................
