Good that he's signed a new 3 year contract!

His wife looks a lot like Sarah Brown (Gordon Brown's wife) |

Yes - their wives may look alike but I reckon Ken is far more financially competent _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Yes good news,
It will keep some more ex-r1 types and celebs at bay a bit longer. |

I wasn't aware there were current rumours about Simon Mayo taking over Ken's show. They were years ago before Evans got Breakfast.
Simon's well established in the Drivetime slot so can't imagine him wanting to change.........

I wouldn't mind that swap either nod. I've not had R2 on in the morning since Wogan left apart from holidays etc.

This rumour is prehistoric and goes back to the time when Mayo decided to leave Radio 5 Live when it was announced that it was re-locating to Manchester. A friendly reporter decided to up his profile by floating this rumour in the press but it never had any mileage. |

Same here, l can't put up with the over enthusiastic shouting at that time of day. |

Despite my dislike of Mr Evans I'm not actually sure it would suit me
I have an excellent breakfast show to listen to already hosted by Simon Bates and I find I'm usually in the car in the late afternoon and I'm enjoying the Mayo Drivetime show more and more
I do agree about the 'Shouting' issue though _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Three more years of 'Uncle Ken's Big Gay Disco' is good news!
Interesting to see Ken hopping around some of the issues surrounding Eurovision, though...
I don't agree that it's not political... I didn't expect our songs to win recently, but the point is that many of them have done ridiculously badly in the competition on the night, although strangely they have achieved comparatively strong sales throughout Europe before and after the competition. One might reasonably consider this a little odd?
A certain Terry Wogan was increasingly voicing a truth on this subject that other commentators were, and are still, trying to avoid saying. Understandably, there's no wish to sour things.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that for any competition to really be fun, it has to be reasonably fair.
We'll see if the new voting system helps.
Predictions anyone? |
