Did you see the old fella before the match, carrying the bags? It was his last Wimbers, after 40 years of looking after the players....Becky, name please!! _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

I heard his name but can't remember. Sorry Raves
Lots of faces been there so many years. The umpire for Andy's match is one of them.

I heard it too, H, and did the same. Maybe I'll catch it tonight on the highlights. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Funny you should ask that,raver..... ..I recorded the match and have just whizzed through it to find out ...his name is Doug Dickson and he is/was the dressing room supervisor.
I heard it at the time,too...but it didn't stick
I felt rather sorry for him today (and have in past years) lugging those two packed bags while two strapping men walked in front of him empty handed.. |

I knew I could count on you, Becky. Wish I'd had the foresight to record it..never mind. Many thanks.
I bet Doug won't be sorry to have carried his last bags, after 42 years, according to Eurosport..
.........................
14:00 - Murray and Djokovic are being lead from the locker room out towards the court, bang on 2pm. Djokovic lead the way behind the Master of Ceremonies with Murray following on before Doug Dickson, carrying out the bags for his last Wimbledon after 42 years in charge of the locker room. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Lovely picture of Ronnie and Judy in the player's box ...wonder if she tapped him up a ticket for one of their gigs?
