The link is to a piece of music that I've written/composed (well in the process of) it's in the early stages at the mo but what I hope it conjures up is the beginning of the end. Imagine that we are on the edge of global war, not just a skirmish but proper full on nuclear war. All attempts at diplomacy have failed. The Russians have had enough: it's 05:30 on cold February morning , two rusty old oil tankers are towed from a spot where they've been resting for years, to reveal a shiny new super sub, full to bursting with missiles so powerful they are known as "global killers" edging its way out from a secret submarine base on a one way mission to end the world. The next piece of music hopes to stop them (I've not written it yet). It's not a great recording (still no lead but you'll get the gist of it. I hope anyway). Smile

Mmm. There's certainly the sense of menace aand foreboding, in a 1970s Soviet Russia / Brezhnev era kind of way.
Thinking of the calibre of the leaders of the western world I'm tempted to suggest the tone of the next bit should be along the lines of Send In The Clowns.

Thanks, Ron. Menacing is what I was aiming for. There's still lots of work to do on it, timing and note length need sorting out and then some twiddles in the gaps. The hard bit will be the link between it and part two , cos that's in a different key. I can see why gaps are so popular. Smile
