After a not very good day today I switched on Channel 4 News this evening and it cheered me up no end when they featured undercover filming of Rupert Murdoch addressing a meeting of Sun journalists in March 2013
Apparently the whole thing lasted around 45 minutes and was filmed by one of Murdoch's own staff on the Sun and in it he appeared to contradict completely much of the evidence he gave to Parliament less than 12 months ago and he quite clearly told the audience that phone hacking was no big deal and that he would stand by any of his journalists convicted as a result of such activities
He also claimed he was being victimised by the police - excuse me I thought that his newspapers had victimised a whole host of people for the last forty years - and he claimed the police were incompetent and that police officers who had been found guilty of leaking confidential information were victims of the system -not really that surprising from a man who makes the likes of Ronnie Biggs look like a saint
I think we've now really seen the real Rupert Murdoch - a complete bas---d who loses his temper once his corrupt practises get into the public domain - but so funny that it all happened thanks to a Sun journalist who had clearly been trained rather too well in the Murdoch way of doing things - not often I praise journalists but hats off to that person whoever he or she may be - I think in Murdock terms the appropriate headline has to be 'Gotcha' _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

And yet, no-one else seems to have picked up on this! How curious. |

I don't think many were under any illusions about just what the real Mr Murdoch is like ....I don't think the Uriah (I'm ever so 'umble) Heep image he portrayed at the Leveson Inquiry fooled many people.

That's certainly very true Becky but I do find it interesting not to say ironic that one of his own journalists has got one over on him by employing his own paper's standard techniques - I never thought I'd say it but there must be a least one decent person working for the Sun - and apparently they still are _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
