Sir Terry, when previewing today's Janet and John tale around 7:55am, mentioned Dick and Dora and asked who remembered them.
I do! They were standard primary school reading in the fifties and also encompassed a cat called Fluff and dog called Nip.
Singer/songwriter Graham Gouldman must have been brought up on these books too, as there's a fleeting reference to Fluff the cat in Wayne Fontana's sixties hit Pamela, Pamela, which he wrote.
