I haven't seen thunder and lightening like we had this week. Very spectacular across the south east. Hope everyone was ok and know structure damage? `[/u]

Hello Mark. We had some huge thunder claps last night and plenty of sheet lightning but no damage. The water butts are now full again Smile .

No rain at all here so far today and one single example of fork lightning at 7 am

They say it's going to rain tonight and as if by perfect timing I've got a team of builders turning up here in the morning to replace my garage roof Rolling Eyes

There were some terrific thunderstorms in Manchester, Friday night/Saturday morning.

Lucky you,Helen, sleeping through them...I had the sheet over my face and hoped they would stop! Shocked

Oh Becky, we are different! I was at the bedroom window wishing there were not so many trees in the way Smile

Very Happy
I am not quite as terrified as I used to be,Eileen, but could never see myself stood at windows, wishing trees away, for a better view.. (those trees must be tall ones!)

I'd really rather have the trees than see the lightning Becky. They are old oaks as we live on former forest land.
