I was sad to hear this news.

Donna Douglas with always be etched in my memory in the role of Elly May Clampett in The Beverly Hillbillies in which she played a wide eyed innocent beauty to perfection.

And she didn't mind the association, either. "So many kinds of people relate to Elly May," Douglas said, according to the Associated Press. "So many people love her, and that means a lot to me."

I used to love The Beverly Hillbillies and their 'cee-ment' pond.

I used to love the Beverley Hillbillies too. Do you remember the middle-aged rather plain secretary (Jane??) who developed a soft spot for young large handsome but rather slow-witted Jethro? And fierce little Granny who kept them all in check?
